HikaShop Content Module - Multilingual issue

Hello,

I'm using the HikaShop Content Module for the You may like section at the bottom.

It used to work as expected: link to US products when you're on the US version of the site, link to the FR products when you're on the FR version of the site.

Now, on both versions, it links to French products only.

Any idea what could be the issue?

Hi,

Did you activate the "Force canonical URLs on listings" setting of the HikaShop configuration ?
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/5...ig.html#features_sef
When that setting is activated, it will use the canonical URL of the product on listings instead of generating the URL dynamically.
And in your products, if you've provided the FR URL for the canonical URL for the main product data, but not the corresponding URL for each language, then the listing would always point to the URL URL, even for other languages.

Hi Nicolas,

In the settings, for canonical URL it's set up on "Use canonical URL if specified".

In the products, the canonical URL is specified for each language.

For example (on another site where I have the same issue):
- Default language: collection/black-bay/m79210cnu-0001
- French: fr/collection/black-bay/m79210cnu-0001

As each canonical URL is specified, it's supposed to work, right? Or am I wrong?

Hi,

Then it could be caching on the modules which creates the issue. Try to turn off all the caching on your website and see if it helps.

Turning off the caches doesn't solve my issue.

It displays the correct description under the watch image, but the link always goes to the French version, even if French is not the default language of the site.

Hi,

I've found the issue.

I've made a patch on our end.
Download the install package of HikaShop on our website and install it on yours to get the patch.

I confirm the patch solves this issue. Now it links to the correct language, for both languages.
