-- url of the page with the problem -- : rolex.jewelrygoldfinger.com/watches/land-dweller/m127336-0001
-- HikaShop version -- : 6.3.0
-- Joomla version -- : 5.4.3
-- PHP version -- : 8.2

Hi,

I have 2 multi-lingual websites where I have a 404 page when sharing a link on Facebook. The display on Facebook is ok but when I click on the link I have a 404.

I presume it comes from the custom code I have for this plugin which may not be valid anymore as the error doesn't happen in my other websites.
The custom code is this one: www.hikashop.com/forum/product-category-...tilingual-sites.html

Could you help me?

Thanks in advance

Sandra

Additional note.

It works fine on 3 websites + 1 multi-lingual site (not a Rolex one).
It doesn't on 3 other websites (one is in only one language so it's not the custom code).
All my Rolex sites are set up in the same way, so I confess I don't understand what could be the issue, I'm lost

Hi,

I'm not sure what it could be.
Please provide a backend and a FTP access via our contact form so that we can look into it.

Hi,

You're talking about the HikaShop Social plugin. However, I don't see any sharing button on the page rolex.jewelrygoldfinger.com/watches/land-dweller/m127336-0001
And the main goal of this plugin is to add social network sharing buttons on the product page.
It also add OpenGraph meta data on the page, and I can see that the meta data there is correct:
developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/?q=h...eller%2Fm127336-0001

Facebook adds its own "fbclid" parameter to the URL. You can see it if you hover on the link shared on facebook:

https://rolex.jewelrygoldfinger.com/watches/land-dweller/m127336-0001?fbclid=IwY2xjawQD6D9leHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETF5alJ6SUFNQjVzTlNobUpmc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQQMjIyMDM5MTc4ODIwMDg5MgABHoSdtlIMh32ERMQCVC3VBUiqb7mUqLcKC30xDkB7Sf6cS4jT6z8GP9KIo-Xa_aem_aEuK75mby7lll4iwbOJwig/c007925ca92480b5c8e4bfafa3603a9d-6c962fe69a01c39e870e56e8ed918ed4
However, if you open that URL on your browser, you can see that you're getting redirected to the URL
https://rolex.jewelrygoldfinger.com/watches/land-dweller/m127336-0001/fbclid-IwY2xjawQD6D9leHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETF5alJ6SUFNQjVzTlNobUpmc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQQMjIyMDM5MTc4ODIwMDg5MgABHoSdtlIMh32ERMQCVC3VBUiqb7mUqLcKC30xDkB7Sf6cS4jT6z8GP9KIo-Xa_aem_aEuK75mby7lll4iwbOJwig/c007925ca92480b5c8e4bfafa3603a9d-6c962fe69a01c39e870e56e8ed918ed4/sppb_user_timezone-Europe/Paris/ct_checkjs-460175631/_ga-GA1.1.1380369320.1771505570/cpnb_cookiesSettings-%7B%22v%22:%7B%22required-cookies%22:1,%22analytical-cookies%22:1,%22rlx-consent%22:1%7D,%22exp%22:%22365%22%7D/cookiesDirective-%7B%22v%22:%221%22,%22exp%22:%22365%22%7D/rlx-consent-true/AMCVS_1FE034B8527850350A490D44%40AdobeOrg-1/AMCV_1FE034B8527850350A490D44%40AdobeOrg-179643557%7CMCIDTS%7C20504%7CMCMID%7C62529503736045001986580871859820234300%7CMCAID%7CNONE%7CMCOPTOUT-1771512792s%7CNONE%7CvVersion%7C5.5.0/s_cc-true/_ga_X2V2X99Y6K-GS2.1.s1771505569$o1$g0$t1771505600$j52$l0$h0/helix_id-9
which generates the error.
While, if you use the URL without the fbclid parameter it works fine.
So, this indicates to me that there is something on your website which has a problem with the fbclid parameter and does some kind of redirect. Also, if I check the attributes of the resulting URL, I can see that it seems to be adding cookies to the URL.
So, I'm thinking this might be linked to the cookie mechanism you're using on your website.
I can see that you're using AdminTools, which does a lot of stuff in many places. It might be wrongly configured or something. Or it might be linked to SPPB ?
That's hard to say.
It would require deactivating the extensions one by one to see what is causing this.
I looked a bit at it but I couldn't find the culprit.

Thanks Nicolas for having taken the time to check my issue.

I've already tried few things, like disable admin tools, as well as the cookie extension, but no luck. What is really strange is that all sites are set up in the exact same way but not all have this 404 error. I don't think it could be sppb, as it works fine for pages without Hikashop.

I also thought it could be a hosting issue as the 3 sites with the 404 are at the same hosting company. The 3 which work fine are installed at other hosts.

I'll have to dig more to try to understand what's causing this problem.

Thanks again for your time

Sandra
