Guidelines for setting up an subscription

-- HikaShop version -- : 4.0.1
-- HikaSerial version -- : 2.2.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.9.1
-- PHP version -- : 7.0.30
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Safari 12.0

On our website, we sell memberships.

Memberships that will be renewed automatically after ONE year after they signed in.

We have bought HikaSerial, but need a step by step tutorial to set that function up.

We have tried hard using the documentation, but it seems to block the payment.

Can you please help?

Hello,

If you want to have a automatic renewal, you need to use a recurring payment plugin, such as "Paypal Recurring".
In the HikaSubscription configuration, there is an option to make the recurring optional ; so if a customer have a subscription product in its cart, he will be able to pay with regular payment methods and not only with recurring one.
Depending that setting and the payment methods you have configuration, it could explain your issue in the checkout.

Hello,

Paypal recurring is provided with HikaSubscription package.
So you will find it in the list of methods when you create a new payment method in your HikaShop backend.
