Hello
Vendor creates new product and needs to upload some informational files or manuals that will be visible for download to anyone that visits the product details page.

The files were uploaded and saved with the product, but they are are not available on the product details page!

Please advise...

Hello,

Like in the HikaShop backend, when you upload a file for a product, by default that file will be "private" (non free) and require the customer to buy the product to access it.
But you can edit the file in order to make the uploaded file as "free" (if you gave the HikaMarket ACL for it).
It is also possible to change a configuration setting to make uploaded files as "free" by default but that's not something we do recommend since once the file is uploaded, it would be directly available in the product page.

Thank you for your reply Jerome
At the moment we are interested in your last suggestion.

Unfortunately we are not able to locate the configuration setting to make uploaded files as "free". Supposing this setting is somewhere inside the Hikashop configuration, can you please tell us where we can find it?

Hello,

Due to the possible drawbacks I mentioned, the setting is a hidden one.
You need to access to your database, for the HikaMarket configuration table and add an entry for :

namekey = upload_file_free_download
value = 1
And your uploads will be "free" by default in the front-end.
