Filter dynamic on a custom field

when i set dynamic display on a custom field , in product filter the menù is empty ...
why ?? i need charge data from database ... help me

The filters take the value set in the product edition page.

In you case, the products must have a value for the custom field "Dimensione". And the filter detect the values in use and display them in the dropdown.
