Hi,

At checkout when someone clicks the back button and then clicks "next" it says cart is empty. How do you make it so that the item remains in the cart and does not require the customer to re-add it to the cart all over again.

Thanks

Hi,

Please check you don't have any cache system installed or activated in your website.
But it could be the browser cache, some browser does not ask the webpage to your website when clicking "back", they just reload the page content from his history.

Thanks for the response. I have checked and can confirm caching is off and this is happening on chrome and firefox. Any suggestions what it could be?

Hi,

I just tried on your website and it seems that you have solved your problem.
On checkout, when I press "back" then "next" my cart still have the same items. (Firefox)

Hi,

I did not understand it that way.
It's a normal issue, when the customer is redirected to the payment method, the cart is transformed into an order, so the customer has no more cart.

When he cancel the payment, the order is still with the status "created" and the cart is empty.
To allow the customer to pay his order later, you can enable the option in Configuration > Main > Order, "Payment of orders not paid immediately".
