Existing Joomla users cannot checkout

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.2.1
-- Joomla version -- : 2.5
-- PHP version -- : 5.3
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : All
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : Email address already used

We're not requiring people to register for the site to checkout, but when people who are already Joomla users try to checkout with the email address in their Joomla account, it won't let them past the Login step. The error "Email address already used" is provided when debugging is turned on. We want anyone to be able to order things from the site. How can this be fixed?

Also, people without a Joomla account can checkout just fine, but they are added the the list of Hika users...is this the expected behavior?

Hi,

If you want a checkout without registration, but with address, you'll probably find your answer there :

If you want to have a checkout without registration but with address, you will have to have both "login" and "address" views in the checkout workflow. Then, in the Checkout tab of the configuration, you can change the option "registration" to "no registration" in order to remove the creation of a user account. Also, you can turn off the "login" option there to remove the login area of the checkout.
That way, you will still have the address form but no user account would be created.
That "Registration" option is only available in our commercial editions.

The store is currently internal-only and there are other parts of the store that still aren't working (checkout breaks when moving from using a development account on Authorize.net to a real account), so no, I can't give you access. However, I can provide any other debug data you need.

Hi,

Yes actually the system check the existing email addresses, so if the customer use an email already used, it lock the access.
To change the way it's working it require some code editions in the user class.
