-- url of the page with the problem -- : 121.214.11.170/scrapandcarddesigns
-- HikaShop version -- :2.2.1
-- Joomla version -- : Joomla! 2.5.14 Stable [ Ember ] 01-August-2013 14:00 GMT
-- PHP version -- : 5.4.7
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : IE10 and firefox 24.0 and chrome Version 30.0.1599.69 m
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : I have to click next twice at the final stage of check out. after I select the payment method.
I looked at other posts and could not work out how to fix this. And considering some of these where over 2 years old I thought having latest software may have addressed this.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Jeff,

The problem is probably coming from the fact that you have set the "Auto submit shipping and payment methods selection" option to YES, can you try it with this option set to NO ?

EDIT
You should set it to YES

I had looked at that option and selected it to yes.. but when the user selects the shipping option it then quickly proceeds to the next stage of the check out. Not really how I want it set out.
I can apply nearly all the steps of the checkout to the one screen leaving terms and conditions last and that helps solve it.
But I really wanted to have 3-4 stages to the check out. and have the user click next to proceed to the next stage.
Is the a way just to have this apply to the payment method.

I've done some tests through your website and selecting my shipping/payment method don't redirect me to the next step, and I don't have to click next twice to be redirected to the next step.

I made some changes to it.. And now have most of the checkout options as one step. So your suggestion to set the auto option to yes works fine like this.( but it doesn't fix problem if I set like 3-4 steps for the checkout process).
So you may have logged in and seen the changes I had made.

And I guess if I sit and think about it. If I set the checkout like this.. Very similar to your demo site. It does flow better.
So I will leave it like that.
Thanks for your time and effort. Gets me going again thank you.

could you please have one more look at my sight and advise me how I can now align my billing address and shipping address so that it looks like your demo site.
So in the checkout where I have billing and shipping I can not shift them to the left as you have. I have them both next to each other but cant get them to the left

regards
Jeff

Sorry to hassle. Have worked it out.
.hikashop_checkout_address{
clear:both;
width:500px;
margin:none;
}
Had to set margin to none. Sorry to hassle

Mohamed,

After getting rid of the clicking next twice.. I now find that I get messages as I go to the billing/shipping part of the check out.
But they come up straight away before a user has time to make their selections.
See attached.

Jeff

Ok, and can you show me screenshots of how did your configured your checkout workflow through "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout" ?

I just made a change and set it to auto select default shipping and payment. As you can see in attached file.

I think that has done the job. So I think I just need to refine my shipping rules so that it defaults to a less expensive option, or more to the point the correct option.

It now at times tells me to please accept terms and conditions as in the first pic I sent. But obviously when you get to this stage you want to be able to select postage and payment and then terms and conditions. obviously after you have read them.
Its like it is submitting the form before the user has a change to actually fill it out.

Hi,

Please update your HikaShop store with the latest package 2.2.2 (which is currently not in auto-update so you will have to download it manually in our website).
This release includes some fixes (listed in our change log) and some improvements in the checkout workflow. I think that this new release will fix your "accept terms" problem.

Otherwise, I will recommend you to put a relative path for your "continue shopping url" and not set an aboslute one (with http:// ). The current option won't work for external users who can't access to the local IP address currently set.
