HikaShop Business: 2.2.1
Joomla 3.1.5
PHP 5.3.18
Firefox or Safari

I just now figured out how to turn on a debugger to get this error message:
633740webpage402797TrueCCSALEFalse**************10150.160.001***17Jim This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. Array ( [errorCode] => 4012 [errorName] => VID/UID Invalid [errorMessage] => The VirtualMerchant ID and/or User ID supplied in the authorization request is invalid. )

I've confirmed twice with Virtual Merchant my:
Merchant id:
User ID:
Pin:

I'm further than I was, at least I know what the error message is, but please advise how do I resolve this issue, or at least confirm it is not a coding or configuration issue.

Thank you for the assistance.

Jim

I just tried to disable the plugin and received this error message. Not sure if related or not:

Hi,
Can you download the last Hikashop version through our website, install it, and test it again ?

Hi,

Can you check that there is no extra space in your plugin configuration for the Merchant Id and User Id ?
Your configuration seams to be in debug mode ; Does your account is a test account too ?

Hello,

I was actually on the phone with virtual merchant earlier this morning and we:
1. Confirmed I had entered the correct merchant id, user id, and pin.
2. There were no spaces or extra characters.
3. The virtual merchant account is active and ready to accept orders - it's not a test account.

I have also tried creating a new virtual merchant plugin and entering the info.

The only part of the site that is in debug mode is the virtual merchant plugin. The rest of the site is in normal mode.

I have tried the cart with minimum configurations

Also, please a note a free product will go through the processes without any issue.

In the error message, it mentions an array - is there any possibility of a coding error?
Please let me know if there is anything I can do to assist.

Thanks for your help Jerome.

Jim

Hi,

It looks like you didn't understand my last message : The debug mode in the plugin is the test mode.
So if you don't have a test account, you shouldn't use the "debug".

Ok. Thank you for the clarification.

Even with debugging mode turned off, I still get a message : Message - An error occurred.
Could SSL have anything to do with this type of an error?
I just had it setup, but it looks like they put my entire site as SSL, At least when in Firefox, all links show ssl?

Thank you for your continued assistance with this issue. It is greatly appreciated.

Hello,

I just installed HikaShop on one of my other domains - same hosting company - there is SSL setup for this domain. Also, the site is under development - meaning it's a pretty basic install of Joomla.

In Hika Shop - Minimal configuration - I added one product.

Same error message:

633740webpage402797TrueCCSALEFalse**************07140.100.001***3myname@debateme.com Array ( [errorCode] => 4012 [errorName] => VID/UID Invalid [errorMessage] => The VirtualMerchant ID and/or User ID supplied in the authorization request is invalid. )

I just checked the virtual merchant developers manual - states accepts information sent using HTTPS… Since the debateme.com domain doesn't have SSL setup - I might expect this type of error message….

I will check with hosting company to make sure there's no issues with HTTPS.

Thanks

Hi,

It is not a SSL issue. It's a credential issue.

Debug mode => using test account credentials.
No debug mode => using production account credentials.

Hello Jerome,

Thank you for your assistance.
I put the virtual merchant plugin in debug mode. The rest of the Joomla website is in normal mode.
I updated the virtual merchant plugin with the test account information I received.

Here is the error message I received:
I replaced the pin number with xxxxs since this is a public forum.
I also removed my address, but kept the replacement text in same format as error

001012webpage(xxxxxxxx)TrueCCSALEFalse**************10150.160.001***17FirstnameLastnamesetreet#+streetname+Ct.CityStateZipUnited+States+of+Americamyemailaddress@gmail.com Array ( [errorCode] => 4009 [errorName] => Required Field Not Supplied [errorMessage] => The field Name on Card (name_on_card) required but not supplied in the authorization request. )

In the cart, when I get to payments, it only asks for CC#, Expiration Data, and CVC.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Hi,

There is an option in the payment methods, the option is called "debug".
This option is to put the plugin in the "test mode", to use a "test account" in order to "test" the plugin.
It also have the feature to display some debugging information.

It is no more complicated than that.

So, if your account is not a test account, it is fully logical that the plugin in "debug" mode does not work and it will never work until you removed this option in the payment configuration.

Is that clear enough ?

Hi,

www.myvirtualmerchant.com/VirtualMerchan...d/developerGuide.pdf

As you can see in the official VirtualMerchant developper documentation, there is no "name_on_card" field.
Unless than virtualmerchant uses an API which is not documented, I am sorry but I won't be able to help you for this specific point.

I can't even fix a problem of a required field if that same field is not present in the official documentation.

I read several other VirtualMerchant implementation and I can't find more information.
There is a plugin made in Ruby which ask for the "name_on_card" but that variable is never used with the communication with the VirtualMerchant API.

So, unless VirtualMerchant give us more details about a required field that is not present in the documentation, I won't be able to fix the problem easily.
Passing an argument "name_on_card" to the API can be a "dirty" solution but I am not even sure that I could really fix the problem. If "name_on_card" is an unknown required field, what can say us that it is the only one ?

Jerome.

Thank you for your response. I'm working with a paid developer to sort this out, and received the same message from them today. I really do appreciated your assistance. I've spoken with Virtual Merchant several times, finally yesterday I received assistance from one there guys that pointed me in the right direction.

I really like Hika Shop. I love the support - Sorry to be a bother - I didn't expect it to be this difficult. But at least now I learning why. It would have been nice had Virtual Merchant mentioned something to me.

Regards

Jim

Hi,

It is a good news !

I didn't think that it will be so difficult too. When I implement the virtualmerchant plugin I didn't have such problem that's why I was very surprised of this new required parameter.
If you want us to update the VirtualMerchant plugin with a fix, do not hesitate to mail us.

And sorry for the inconvenients.
