Capturing extra info at check out

The way my product works is that parents can buy a customised item for their child. This means that at check out I need to collect the child's date of birth and name. If the Parent has two children then they will make the purchase twice i.e. the captured info can change on each purchase.

Is this possible to do?

Hi... the issue is that I only need these extra fields per order and not product. A parent could order two items for one child and then three different items for another child. I am needing to capture the child details for each order.

I might just need to request the info via a separate e-mail.

So you should set the table option of your custom field to "order", so that the field can be display through the checkout process.
