Hi,
there is a problem with updating the cart. Customers told me that if they want to put some more article to the shopping cart in the view shopping cart it will not update the new amount.
You can reproduce the subject by trying to add some more article in the shopping cart view. It will not be accepted.
would be great to get hints for this problem
thanks
Georg

Hi,
I just tested it and it worked fine, that maybe a coming from a cache issue, can you disable the Joomla cache, and clear it ? You'll also have to disable it in the joomla config, and unpublish the cache plugin. Also can you clear your browser's cache or try it with another browser ?

As I told you, it's working fine when I test it, can you tell me how can I reproduce your issue, or show me some screenshots explaining the issue that you are having ?
Thank you.

Thanks I just thought I m stupid :)
Unfortunately nothing happend when I turned off the caches in joomla and cleared all browser data.
Would be gerat if you have any other suggestion!.
In my feeling this problem occurs at first after the last update. I think there are about 10% of my customers having the same issue (at least they told me)
Hope we can solve this thing...

Yes I ve done everything that neonblack123 told me but no affect.
Guess there must be an other problem than caching issues?
I just realized that I can´t delete items also.
There is no refresh or update of the amount possible

Mmm. Can you try while logged in with another user account on your website ? Maybe it's linked with the user session of your user.

Same procedure. Nothing happend to the refresh of the cart. Doesen´t matter if I logged in as administrator, or any user or if I m not logged in at all. Seems to be a mysterious problem?

Ah I think I understand now. I was able to reproduce the issue.
That's because you have twice the cart view displayed on your checkout page. Please only have one cart view per step of the checkout and it will work fine.

Wow Nicolas you´re the greatest. That was exact the problem!
I just thougt to give my customers again an overview what the have got in their cart.
But I did´nt realize that this was the problem.
Thanks a lot for your help!!!

Have you any other idea how I can show my customers a sumarry of their order before they finaly press the enter button at the end? (because sometimes the single checkout is very long)

Hi,

Can you post a screenshot of your checkout workflow ?
If you don't have the cart view on the final step, you can add it in order to show the order to the customer before pressing the enter button at the end.

Hi,
I psot you the real checkout.
1. orders in cart
2. Registration
3. Shipping
5. Billing
6. custom notice
7. submit AGB
8. Order checkout

My (wrong) thougt was that I put a second shopping cart at the bottom that the customer can see what he ´s got. But that causes the missing update issue!

Hi,

1. By "screenshots of your checkout workflow" Xavier was talking of some screenshots of the page "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout"

2. As Nicolas said, you can add ONE "cart" action per step, so if you have more than one step you can add another "cart" action through the final step.

3. If you only have ONE step, and that you want your cart to be displayed twice, you can set one "cart" action through your step, and create and Hikashop cart module so that your customers will be able to see what they have in their cart even through their last step.
