Need Help - have tried everything - No way to pay

The problem is that there's now way to check out - - it was working before, but I can't figure it out.

Hi,
I just tested it and it seems to be working fine, I just had to use the "Finish" button to be redirected to PayPal.

That's weird, I don't see a finish button, at least not in chrome... I just see a 'continue shopping' button
I cleared by browser cache and joomla cache as well.... I'm still just seeing the 'continue shoppping'....

Also, is there a way to take the shopping cart module off of the final checkout page? I can't seem to find a way to do that....

1. It's probably coming from the fact that you're having an error through your checkout process,but you probably don't see them because of your template. So you'll find the solution there :

HikaShop uses the core Joomla messaging system to display messages on your website so if you don't see any message when you don't enter correct information during the checkout process, that's probably because your Joomla template does not contain the tag to display Joomla messages: <jdoc:include type="message" />

2. The solution will be to :
2.1 :
- Go to "Hikashop->System->Configuration->'Checkout'"
- Use the "Force a menu on the checkout" option to one of your menu

2.2 :
- Go to your HikaShop Cart Module through your Joomla module manager page
- Set the "Module Assignment" option to Only on the pages selected
- Un-check the menu that your have set through the "Force a menu on the checkout" option.

Hi: I looked through the documentation and checked all of the items... nothing has changed. I turned on debug system in Joomla and I found the following Notice on the page:

Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /home/jimfidler/jimfidler.com/administrator/components/com_hikashop/helpers/helper.php on line 415

Do you think this might have something to do with the problem?

More information:

I also tried creating a new user and got the activation email, clicked on it and all was fine. However when I tried to login it gave me this message:

Login or create a new account
Please create or select an address

This is for a digital download, so it doesn't need an address.... so I tried backing out and just logging in fresh - it allowed me to login ok, but still not showing a checkout box so that I can process my order....

maybe this information will help with the solution... thanks!

Hi,
1. The address will be used for the shipping method, but also to have a billing address which can sometime be used for the payment method.

2. It seems like you're selling both physical and virtual goods, so you'll need an address and a shipping step (you'll have to configure shipping methods) for your checkout workflow ("Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout").

3. Can you download the last Hikashop version through our website, install it, and test it again ?

Hi: here is the workflow I have::
login
cart
payment
status
fields
shipping
address

I tried installing the newest version and nothing changed.

I already have shipping set up for both physical and virtual products

Here's what's happening now: (there are a couple of different things
I can register, no problem. then login. However, when I login it should detect where I am and change the shipping amount (I'm in North America) but it's giving me the international shipping. Also, there is no finish button after the order information from the cart, shipping fee, payment type, etc. there is nowhere to go. Normally it will say something ike 'sending you to paypal' but it does nothing and there's no button to confirm and finish the order. That's the problem.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Ok, I'm attaching a screenshot. I have registered as a new user and then go back to the website to purchase a product. I put the product in the shopping cart, proceed to checkout where I log in. The information on the screenshot is now on the checkout page.

After I login it should detect my address (which is in north america). However it is showing international shipping. This is problem #1

The next problem is that there is no way to check out - no way to finalize the order and pay for the product. Nromally, there is either a continue button or confirm and it will take the user to paypal to pay for the product.

there may be another problem, I just changed the downloads under shipping so that when the weight is 0, the price will be nothing for shipping. However now under the checkout, it's giving the user the option to check downloads (no shipping) or shipping and handling.

Hi,

1. It does not detect your address using your IP address but using the address you specified during the registration.

2. Please provide some of configuration screenshot. We have to check :
- that your physical products have a right weight
- the configuration of your "international shipping"
- the configuration of your "download" shipping
- any other information about your shippings

ok, I'm attaching the screenshots. When I registered I registered with my real address, which is in Canada. I hope this helps. This actually was working fine a few weeks ago as 2 people placed orders. I'm not sure what went wrong. It's just not working and you'll also notice that you can't checkout and pay.

If it makes it easier, I can supply the admin login details as well.

Hi: I still really need some assistance with this. Any takers? I can give you my login if it makes it easier... I'm at a loss here. If I can't figure this out, I will have to change my shopping cart method. I was hoping to use Hikashop for all of my ecommerce in future as well... but if it has these quirky things, I don't know... any assistance greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Regarding your first issue (the shipping issue), the best solution will probably be to give me a temporary access to your website so that I can directly test it, and understand from where the problem is coming.
For your second issue, every time I go through the checkout process, I'm correctly redirected to Paypal.

Hi,

1. Regarding the shipping zone restriction, it's working fine.

2. For your "Download" shipping method which where always showing, setting the "Maximum weight" option to "0.1" mg will probably do the job.
