guest cart & checkout

I need guests to be able to add products to the basket and proceed to checkout. In order to complete checkout they need to register or login. I do not know how this can be done in hikashop. As things are in my shop, the guest can click the add to cart button but he will not see the checkout button until he is registered/logged in. Is it doable?

Sure, you'll just have to :
- Go to the page "Hikashop->System->Checkout"
- Set the "login" option to NO and the "registration" option to "Guest"

Note that the registration option is only available through commercial version of Hikashop

There is nothing to do if guest:: its just reloads the order page:::
IT doesnt place the order..
Ol if i login everything works...

My settings is as you told ...
no to login
and guest

What to do?

Can you show me some screenshots of how did you configured your "checkout workflow" through "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout" ?

sure - here u are..

If it is of any help - my issue turned out to be a joomla related one and not Hikashop specifically. The 'top cart module' (in menu extensions->modules) access rights was set to 'registered'. When I set it to 'public' it worked just fine.

@sideways: thanks to have shared your solution.

@bsrweb: your problem come from the menu forced on the checkout page, you have selected the user control panel one, and it's a menu which require logged in customers. So you have to change the menu forced in checkout to another one which can be reached by guest users. You can create a new one if you want.
