Login during checkout redirects to homepage

-- Browser(s) name and version -- : CHROME 32.0.1700.72 m

For some reason, during the checkout process, when logging in, the page redirects to the website home page and doesnt even log the user in.
Strangely in internet explorer everything seems to work as expected.....
I cannot work out why this is happening - can anyone help?

Can you show me some screenshots of how did you configured your checkout workflow through "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout" so that I can understand how your checkout process work .
