Items with Characteristics won't checkout

Hello, so i recently started using Hikashop as the cart the system for the website im developing, everything works fine, until i attempt to add characteristic fields to my items (shirt size and color.) When i set the item to say "Size: Large" then click add to cart, there is no pop-up for "continue shopping" the page goes blank and it's stuck on "updatecart," though the page is fully loaded. I hit refresh and it stays on the page. Reissuing the address takes me back to the front page and it says cart is empty.


Please Help...have looked high and low for an answer and have found nothing

1. Can you show me some screenshots of how did you configured your product variants ?
2. Can you give me a link to your product page so that I can directly test it ?

and i just started using hikashop so i'm not sure if this is the screenshot you are asking for.

You'll be able to see how you configured your product variants by using the "Manage variants" button through the "Characteristics" tab of your product configuration page.
Also, can you :
- Active the Joomla debug mode ("Administration->Global configuration->System->Debug System/Language")
- Set the "error reporting" option of the Joomla configuration to "maximum"
- Test it again so that we can see if it display an error message.

the error still persist but after setting to what you tole me to set it to i now get this when doing the same function
