Hi,

I am recently having several (but not all customers) complain of not being able to get past the stage with terms and conditions. They can select it but it won't allow them to proceed. Mostly this is happening on mobile devices but also happened on IE9. Can you please take a look (on different browsers and devices) as I have a merchant bank reviewing my site soon to make sure it works smoothly.

Thanks,
Luke

Hi Luke,
I just tested it with Internet explorer 9 and it was working fine, so can you show me what your problem exactly is through some screenshots so that I can understand you issue.?
Thanks.

That's the frustrating thing, it isn't happening to me and it's virtually impossible to get a complaining customer to respond with much assistance. I have had several complaints though recently, with most occurrences happening on iPhones and iPads. Can you try those?

I just had another person claim an issue with IE9 (windows vista). I advised them to use Chrome and it was fine. Please double check this on IE9 as this is a definite bug.

Okay, the plot thickens. My customers now also don't receive a confirmation email after ordering. This was working fine until I implemented SSL and initiated the terms and conditions check box. I really need help, please advise. This is not working like it used it, or like it should. I paid for a business version of this and it isn't working as such.

This is a bug of your RocketTheme template which doesn't handle properly the styling of the checkboxes with IE. Please deactivate that option of your template and it will work, it's not a problem in HikaShop or SSL.

Regarding the order not being confirmed, I would need more information on the problem. Do you receive other emails from your website (if not it means that the problem is with your email server, not in HikaShop) ? Are your orders status confirmed ( if not it means that the issue is with your server or another extension blocking the payment notifications to HikaShop) ? Did you deactivate some of the emails via the menu System>Emails (if yes, then maybe you want to activate them back) ?

Hi Nicolas,

Good to hear from you and surprised you could see an issue with IE after the other guy said it was fine.

Thanks for the template suggestion, that seems to be resolved. I will let you know if more people complain.

Regarding the emails, I receive messages from the server as admin indicating a sale. I was approached by a customer who told me they hadn't received a confirmation email after purchase, which is something that used to occur. Could this be SSL related?

Hi,

I didn't even have to check your website. That issue with the checkboxes on IE is quite common since all the users with a rockettheme template who activate the option to style the checkboxes have it.

No, it cannot be linked to SSL. I would first recommend to create a user yourself and see if you also have the problem.
If not then it's probable that your user got the email in his spam box and didn't see it because of that.
If yes, then the only thing I can see would be that you deactivated the user account notification via the menu System>Emails.

Okay, thanks. I'll try it.

Rockettheme always seems to be the bringer of bugs, damn RT.
