Using the checkout from the cart works fine

For what I can see, it looks there is no ?Itemid=101 set.

I edit the "force a menu on checkout" option through "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout" it was on welkom and I put it on none, but this does not help.

Tested it with chrome 33.0.1750.154 also works fine, it looks the problem is with internet explorer

Are you sure that in both browser you use the same links to go to the checkout ?

You can maybe use an advanced SEF manager like JoomSEF which have a great integration with HikaShop.
