I'd like to know where would a person go to modify the confirmation email that is generated once someone makes a purchase?

it has verbiage like the following on the bottom. I'm trying to see if i can change the best regards salutation and include a contact email

I see best regards in the translation file best regards which is the salutation but i'm not sure if thats the correct area all i was trying to do is swap that out with the company name and put the company email on that confirmation form

To edit the mail you have to go through the menu System > Emails, then edit the desired email.
In the edition page you can see which keys are used for the translations so then replace the translations or edit directly the HTML to display what you want.

Hmm could you provide the path are you referring to system/emails in Hikashop because that isn't a path at least from what I can tell. I don't see any option in Hika for email

Sorry, this path is for business edition.

In your case, you have to edit the files in "media\com_hikashop\mail", be careful when updating your changes will be lost.
