One radio button doesn't update the selection

I have three payment method options: Cheque, Bank Transfer and Credit Card. When either Cheque or Bank Transfer option is chosen via radio button, the notice at the foot of the form updates with the selection. "You have chosen the payment method (method). Then the order proceeds to processes normally.

However when the option Credit Card it chosen, the credit card form appears but the notice at the foot does not update. If I go ahead and enter card details and click the Finish button, the form clears and the notice at the footer updates: "You have chosen the payment method Credit Card". But the order isn't processed, it remains on the screen.

Entering card details again and Finishing now that the notice is updated results in a proper process of the order.

How can I get the notice to update immediately the Credit Card option is chosen so that the order will process properly first time?

Thank you. I've updated, and now the card details are processed after clicking finish and the note changes to "You have chosen credit card..."

I do think it's confusing for a customer to have to click Finish twice. If there's no way to get the processing done with one click, I'd like to change the button from "finish" to "process" or "confirm". Where do I do this please?
