Payment Via Paypal Hanging

-- PHP version -- : 5.3.22
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Firefox 29

I have had a site up and running for a few months witha few orders.

Today I received a call from my client saying that a customer could not pay. There is only one payment method which is Paypal.

I logged into the site and created an order but when trying to pay the page remained on step/step-1 and would not submit. I eventually removed the shipping options from the workflow (noticed this was posted on the forums elswhere) and the problem appears to have been resolved for the time being at least.


Is this possibly a bug?

Hi,

Was there any system message displayed ?
Do you have shipping methods set ?

Hi

The site had been working fine to the best of my knowledge and the issue was only flagged up yesterday. There were no messages on the front end.

I am going to reinstall a back-up and run through the checkout procedure. I will update this post when I have this up and running again.

Hi,

I doubt that this is a bug. Probably a configuration issue with the shipping methods.
Normally it should display an error message on the checkout explaining the problem, but maybe your template is not displaying error messages:

Thanks for the reply. The site has actually been up since January without any issue and some orders have been processed in that time.

No error messages were present and the template itself does display them.

I will load a back-up of the site in the next day or so and update this post in due course
