Hi there,

I want to change how the emailed invoice displays ttax. Specifically I want to quote all product prices and a subtotal without tax, and then below it quote total tax and also shipping costs, before giving a grand total that is the sum of the three.

I have changed this in the back end invoice easily, I am less sure how to change it in the invoice that is included in the "Order Creation E-mail" sent out as part of the checkout process.

I have looked at the System > E-mails edit page, but it appears that the figures are determined elsewhere in the system and included in that e-mail template just by using a key word. Happy to do some code hacking if someone can point me in the right direction.

Any help would be greatly appriciated...

Hi,

You indeed need to edit the emails via the menu System>Emails for that.
When you are on the edit page, you can first see the email template with the data tags in the "HTML version" area. Below it you'll find the "Text version" area and finally, below it, you'll get the "Preload" area. That's in the Preload area that you'll find all the code which defines the data tags that can then be used in the email template of the HTML version. So that's what you're looking for.
