no cart or checkout option visible on productspage

-- Joomla version -- : 3.3.3
-- PHP version -- : 5.3.28

Hi, first try with Hikashop so probably a novice problem:-).

On the webshop page I have some products. But I don't see a go to cart or go to checkout option. After clicking add to cart a pop-up comes and disappears. Afterwards I can't get to the cart or checkout because there's no button anywhere. I published the cart module but even after adding a product the cart module is empty. What am I mising? Probably easily solved because of my inexperience. Can't find an answer though :dry:

Hi,

I do see a button for that on the cart module of your website:
take.ms/VrNKp
You can always create a new menu item of the type HikaShop checkout via the Joomla menus manager if you want an extra link to the checkout, but you already have what you need as far as I can see.
Note that you might also want to increase the duration of the popup display via the corresponding option of the HikaShop configuration.

Hi, thx for answering. The button you mention wasn't there while i worked on the shop. Maybe a cache problem. I had the cart module published and it said Cart on the frontend but it stayed completely empty although I added products to it. No button, no products so the only way was the popup which I already increased in duration.
When I took a look now the cart button had disappeared from all products. I found out that it is an issue with google chrome because the other browsers have a cart button (see screenshots).
I'm working on a windows 8.1 pc. It's probably an issue with my pc. I'll check it out.

I can add that after downloading google canary and opening the site it shows correct. Do you know about issues with google chrome?

Hello,
I just tested it with the lastest version firefox and chrome and it worked fine, if it's a cache issue can you disable the Joomla cache, and clear it ? You'll also have to disable it in the joomla config, and unpublish the cache plugin. Also can you clear your browser's cache and try it again ?

Hi there, thx for testing. I cleared the cache of the website and of the browser. Plugin is unpublished. But the problem persists in my google chrome. I do think it is local though. Tested it on my wifes PC and everything looks normal. Have run into some weird behaviour from chrome before, uninstalled it and reinstalled but somehow my PC doesn't like chrome :huh: . Google Canary works fine though and i have FF en Safari so I'll manage.
It would be nice to know the cause of it but some things remain a mystery :)

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention IE;-). Works fine for me too :cheer: . .. It really baffles me but I need a PC expert here at home to solve this google chrome issue. Thx for your time anyway. We can close this topic. Have a good one.
