Hello, While testing my website I noticed that the PayPal plugin, which appears in the checkout and shopping cart, will allow buyers to complete the checkout process without having to pay for postage. Say for example a guest wanted to buy a product. They add the product to the cart and proceed to the checkout. When they arrive at the check-out they don't register and don't provide their address for shipping. They click on the checkout with PayPal button and they are directed to PayPal without having the shipping cost calculated. I need to change this so that they cannot use Paypal unless they have registered as a guest first. Can someone please help me. I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

Hello,
1. If you want your customer to chose a shipping method, you'll have to :
- Add the "shipping" action through one of the step of your checkout workflow via "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout"
- Set a weight to your products OR set the "Force shipping regardless of weight" option to YES via "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout"
2. If you want to enable your customers to checkout without registering, you'll just have to
- Go to "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout"
- Set the "Display method for registration" option to All in one page
- Set the "Registration" option to Guest

Note that the Registration / Display method for registration options are only available through an Hikashop commercial version.

Hi Mohamed, Thank you for the reply. I don't think I was clear enough and I am sorry for that. My Issue is with the PayPal Plug-in. I do have the commercial version of Hikashop.
I have the guest checkout enabled. That is not a problem. I have the force shipping regardless of weight enabled and that too is not an issue.
My issue is that customer are able to use PayPal to complete the orders without registering and without selecting a shipping method. This means that they only pay for the product and nothing else. I hope that I am clear this time.

Thanks again.

Hi,

Sure, you're using the plugin "paypal express".
The "paypal express" API is made to let paypal manage the order.

So if you want HikaShop to manage that, you should use the plugin "paypal" and not the "paypal express" one.

Jerome, Thanks for your help. I disabled the PayPal express option and enabled normal PayPal. The Paypal express button did not disappear so I used CSS to remove the button. All is good now. I appreciate you taking the time to reply.
