Registration during checkout not functioning

-- url of the page with the problem -- : www.nachoscheese.net
-- HikaShop version -- : 2.3.2
-- Joomla version -- : 3.3.3.
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : No error message, just not allowing customers to register

Customers are trying to place orders but the registration form is going no where. When you hit register it just comes back to the same screen. I've tried on Chrome, Explorer and Firefox. The only thing I have been able to work is using my log in to complete the order.

I've tried adding a registration page to the main menu now and it will not accept registration that way either

Figured it out. Apparently the free version does not allow registration anymore so I had to eliminate that and change the checkout process.

Hi,

The Starter edition do allow registration.
The "registration" option of the configuration is for you to change the way the registration works. But not having access to the option doesn't mean that registration is broken, it just meant that you can't change the way it works.
I don't know what error you had but it's not a limitation of the Starter edition.

Interesting. Well what was happening was people would try to register, but the website wouldn't accept it. When you click the register button, the page would just refresh and nothing was completed. I worked around it, but now I am dealing with not being able to collect a buyers address without a follow up email. I am thinking about buying the Essentials package if it will help with this issue, and also I would like to add options to some of my products, like changing the size of something which will automatically change the price accordingly.

Hi,

If your Joomla is configured to refuse the registration, HikaShop won't be able to register a new user because, HikaShop is using (and working on) Joomla.
Please configure your Joomla to accept registration.

If the page is refreshing but nothing was completed, I think that HikaShop put a warning message but you have to be sure that your template is right displaying the Joomla message.

Well I checked in my Joomla setting and Registration is Allowed. I turned it of and back on and still no difference.

Hi,

I test your website and it looks like there is no login step in your checkout.
So users can't login or enter their address to process their orders.
Please add the "login" step in your checkout workflow in order to have something working.
And please provide details about your HikaShop checkout & registration configuration.

Yes currently I do not have the login as part of the checkout process, because customers were unable to make purchases. I have attached a screen shot of the settings I had previous to the all happening that at some point was working.

Hi,

Please re-activate the login/address part.
If we can't see the registration problem, it will be difficult to solve it.

* Do you have some view override in HikaShop ? Like "checkout | registration" (or registration_bootstrap) ?

* Does your template is compatible with the Joomla messaging system ?

I can see the messages in the popups (component view of the template) but I didn't see any message in the main one.
If the messages are not displayed by the template, Hikashop won't be able to display the errors to the user.

Thanks Jerome! I guess the issue must have been that I had already used my email addresses previously so the registration would not take. I tried my wifes after you replied and it worked too. Thanks!
