With simplified registration + password, it seems you have to enter your password twice. This seems overkill as the user is sent their login details in any case. Is there any way just to have one password field (not to ask for it twice)?

I do not want to do 'simplified registration without password' as then how does the user login in future if they don't have a passwrd?

Hi,

Joomla send an email with the user password ; so if the password is generated, the user will have it by email.

Hi Jerome,

You did not understand my question. Sorry if I was not clear.
On simplified registration the user has to enter their password twice. I would like to know how to make the user only enter their password once.

Thank you

Hi,

Jérome was saying that is you use the no password method, the customer will receive his password by email, so he will have a password.

To have only one password field, I think that the easiest way will be to hide the second one by css, and auto fill it thanks to some javascript.

Thanks Xav...I now understand.
So hikashop will generate a password for the user if you have the (simplified registration with no password) option?
