Hello,

I actually have 2 questions:
1. I wanted to introduce the option for free shipping when buying 10 single postcards. Is there a way to restrict a shipping method to a certain product category, then offer free shipping automatically when 10 cards are ordered?
2. While trying it out (it did not work so far), I found that when somebody wants to buy 10 cards of 1 euro, the total price displayed is 10.04. It should be 10. I have set the prices to 'round' in configuration and I entered the prices while making the product files as 1,00000 in the Tax included tab. What do I have to do? It looks very bad to ask your customers 4 cents extra out of nowhere.

Hi,

1. You can't restrict shipping methods to product categories. You need to use the warehouse system for that. Create two warehouses via the menu Products>Warehouses. One for the postcards and one for the rest of the products.
Then, in each product, set the warehouse of the product.
Then, configure your shipping methods so that you have shipping methods for each warehouse.
The system will then group the products per warehouse on the checkout and display the shipping methods of each warehouse so that you can select the shipping method of each warehouse in the checkout.

2. HikaShop has no problem multiplying 10 by 1. So it's probably that you have configured some taxes which are added to the prices, or a negative amount discount, or something like that.

As for the second question, I don't think it is a problem of wrong calculations. I have a default tax category of 21%. I always fill in the tax included tab and then Hikashop calculates the price minus VAT. The exact price should be 0,826446281, but Hikashop tops this to 0,82645 in my backend and to 0,83 in the front end. My guess is that it takes the minus VAT frontend price for the total price of 10 cards, that would be 10,04. But to have an exact outcome, it should take the VAT included price as a guide, or at least the price with 5 figures after the comma, which would result in 10,00004 which is not perfect but better. Is there any way to make this possible? The only solution I see now is to turn the price into 'no VAT' and make it 1 euro, but that is not a very good solution.

Hi there,

I changed that configuration. Also cleared the cache to be sure. My website still gives me 10,04 euro for 10 cards of 1 euro.

But, when I got the order email in my mailbox, the price was correct. I retried on my website to be sure, but it still shows 10,04 in the shopping cart!

I don't see why you would get such result with the latest version and the rounding option turned on.
Did you or your template override the "cart" file of the "checkout" view ? You can check on that via the menu Display>Views as there will be a bin icon for the file if that's the case.
In that case, you should click on it to remove the customization and it might help.
Otherwise, please provide a backend access and a FTP access to your website via our contact form so that we can check on the problem:

So it seems that your server has some kind of firewall blocking us from accessing the FTP server.
Could you check on that please.

My host advises that you go to www.vindip.be and send the results so that they can check if your IP hasn't been blocked. I will send the login data again through the contact form to be sure that there was no mistake there;

Hi,

I tested to connect to your FTP using my personal internet access ; and I gave an error telling me that the credentials are not valid.
It looks like my IP is not blocked but I think that the IP we got at work is blocked (because our provider is also a server hosting ; but it's strange...).

Hi,

We found the issue.
It's because you had activated the "HikaShop tax calculations override plugin" plugin which overrides the tax calculations of HikaShop.
I deactivated it and it's working fine.
