Cart item limit notice

Hi Guys,

I have set a limit of 1 on items per cart, how do I notify the user? for example the limit is 1. They add an item - they are sent to the checkout, but what if they go back into the store and want to add a new item... I need a notice that tells them the limit is reached - is that possible?

Hello,
You should automatically have a ''limit is reached" error message, if you don't have it, it's probably because :
- You didn't correctly configured your cart/product
- you have a template issue, so you'll probably find the solution there :

HikaShop uses the core Joomla messaging system to display messages on your website so if you don't see any message when you don't enter correct information during the checkout process, that's probably because your Joomla template does not contain the tag to display Joomla messages: <jdoc:include type="message" />

I'm having the same issue.

I'm on the latest Hikashop Biz and Joomla 3.

I've set in the config:
- Maximum number of items in the cart: 1
- Notice popup display time: 1000

I get notices for all other messages, just nothing for the cart item limit. It redirects to the cart where the existing item is.

Anything else needed to be done for this to work?

Yep, same problem and its not because of messages - as if I take off the cart item limit when I add the product to cart I get the modal popup that says would you like to proceed to checkout or continue shopping... its something else... the reason why this notice doesnt appear - when the limit is set.

Yeah man, that is checked... and most of the time the ajax works - just this notice doesnt show up... I dont know why. If you want access to the site to check it out, please let me know.

All resolved when I turn the use AJAX off.

It also stopped me from adding items to my cart when an item existed with the order limit being reached.
