-- HikaShop version -- : 2.3.3

Is it possible to set up HikaShop so that a catalog of products can be put together, but can't be purchased? So that a visitor can send an email enquiry about the products? And ecommerce can be enabled at a later date when the client wants it?

Thanks
Nigel

Hi,

The catalog mode can be activate by an option in the HikaShop configuration panel.

You can also activate the "contact" button in the product page.

Please note that the contact button option is available in all commercial versions of HikaShop (essential / business)

Hi Jerome,

That's great, thank you. Just what we need.

Hi Jerome,

Is it possible to set up the system so customers can add products to the "cart", or basically a list, but I guess the cart could do the job, and then have a contact button instead of checkout, to enable them to submit the entire list for a quote? Rather than only being able to contact about products individually.

Thanks
Nigel

Hello Nigel,
The solution can be to directly create a "Collect and delivery" Payment method named "Contact me" for example and let your user "purchase" his cart so that you'll have the list of customers who want some information with their cart on their order.
Note that you can also directly remove the "Payment" action from your checkout workflow via "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout".
