Dear Hikashop Family:

We are having what we now affectionately call the 'Groundhog Day Bug,' with Hikashop's checkout. It does not seem to be happening in Safari - But it is happening in Firefox and Chrome.

We have 'Switcher' set so the user can choose to register or check-out as a guest. So far, if we:

1) Choose 'GUEST'
2) Enter an email
3) Hit NEXT
4) Fill out our address in popup
5) Hit NEXT

-> That's when it happens. It does not accept the information in the popup. We have double checked this, entering the exact same information / entering different information / etc etc, - In Safari right now, it seems to be working fine. In Firefox, it simply does not go past this popup.

The popup remains open, although it refreshes, 'as if' it's suggesting that some information is missing or incorrect.

Sometimes - In Chrome, after FRESHLY starting Chrome, - It will accept the information and proceed all the way to the paypal screen. … If we cancel the transaction and go back to the site to test it a second time, still in Chrome - It will happen again.

Yet, - Safari still seems to work fine.

Your feedback & ideas are greatly greatly appreciated. :)

So, every once and a while, upon FRESHLY starting Firefox - It will work and proceed through the checkout all the way to Paypal. … However, if we cancel the order and go back, and

1) Enter a NEW (Different) email, acting as if we are a different person as a
2) GUEST

it happens immediately.

So, to properly repeat this bug - You MUST go through the process ONCE all the way to Paypal, - Then go back and attempt it again. I please ask you to try it 3 times before suggesting that it's not appearing on your end - If you can, since we are paying for the business version, - We would greatly appreciate you trying it in Safari & Chrome & Firefox to see this problem …

Thank you again

Hi,

I'm able to reproduce the problem on your website on the first try on your website but not on our end.
It sounds like the address is refused as if some data was missing.
Change the "address selector" option to the other types of selector, list and dropdown list, and try again with each.
Maybe that will solve the problem on your website or at least display an error message of the problem.

What is the address-selector?

Where is it located?

Do you mean, DON'T use the switcher?

I apologize in case these are obvious - I just want to be sure I'm understanding you 'to the letter,' as we say over here :)

Thank you Nicolas :)

I'm talking about the "address selector" option of the Checkout tab of the configuration page of HikaShop.
