Emails not sent on Created or Confirmed updates

When customers Checkout and pay for their order through the Sagepay plugin no email is sent for either Order Confirmation or Order Status Update.

Yet if we use the Paypal payment plugin these emails are sent!!

I've checked with my Hosting provide and they assure me that there are no restrictions on their system regarding either HTML or Multipart emails.

Are you sure that the order are correctly created, and updated to confirmed status ?
Please check the payment log file if it is not the case, this file is in Configuration > Main > Files.
