Hi,

im not getting an error message as much Im having problems setting up Hikashop to direct users to a download link once a purchase of a virtual product has been paid for.

I presently limit visitors to pay via paypal but Im not sure how to enable download of virtual products to buyers. The orders after payment get set to confirmed but when I visit one of the confirmed orders theres no sign of a link to download the virtual item.

Apologies if Im missing something basic .

Hi,

There is nothing to do to enable that.
Just add your files in your products under the "Files" section and a link will be added for each file in the email that is sent to the customers when their order is confirmed after HikaShop received the payment notification from PayPal.
If your orders are confirmed, you should see a link for each file below the name of the product.

Hi,

I think Kate is right in the way that there is no identification for the download link. The link is just there without saying "He, I'm the download link".
How to customize in order to have label DOWNLOAD LINK

Norbert

Hi,

You can edit the emails via the menu System>Emails if you have the Business edition, or in the folder media/com_hikashop/mail via FTP.
The email templates are just HTML so you can customize them the way you want.
More easily, you could just change the texts of the email with translation overrides:
hikashop.com/download/languages.html#modify

Hi,
I think for most People it is not hard to Change html, the Problem is to find the correct mail file. In this case it is the order_creation_notification.preload.
The override method does not bring the effect because there is no language string to Change.
