"Add to Cart" fatal error message

-- PHP version -- : 5.3.29
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Firefox 34.0.5, Chrome 39.0.2171.95,, IE 11
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : Fatal error: Cannot pass parameter 1 by reference in /home/colleg87/public_html/plugins/system/custom_quantity_tax/custom_quantity_tax.php on line 110

When the "Add to Cart" button is pressed a blank white page is generated and nothing else happens. Attempt to go back also generates a white page.

Please assist in resolving ASAP. Thanks!

Hi,

I was writing you an answer of your email in order to get more details about your website URL and the error (regarding the PHP error log).
