My client wants to sell an e-book and a physical book.

I am using the Starter version of Hikashop.

At present I have the PayPal Pro plugin for payments set up fine, and it's linked to my sandbox. Completing a purchase is no problem - I have run a test and it was successful.

However, I get a box for Credit Card details in the checkout, but can't add address fields or an email field. It seems that this is required, as PayPal only collects information for their users - I want to use them to process credit cards and nothing else.

Do I have to get the Essential or Business version to capture an email or physical address? Is the Starter version only for playing around with? Is there some method of having people login to my site via Joomla and then accessing that information for a sale?

If the Essential package is required before I can capture information on my customers, please inform me.

Hi,

However, I get a box for Credit Card details in the checkout, but can't add address fields or an email field. It seems that this is required, as PayPal only collects information for their users - I want to use them to process credit cards and nothing else.

I am sorry but I don't understand what you're trying to perform.
The Paypal pro plugin just ask for the name and the credit card information ; nothing more.

And more than that, because the user is logged, you already have his account and his addresses (billing and shipping) so you do not need to ask him ; you already have it (except if you removed the "address" and the "login" step in your checkout workflow).

First I upgraded to Essential.

Then I allowed Guest checkout, which you can't do in the free version.

Once this was working, I hid the div where the Login info appears, so only the inputs for a Guest is visible.

This worked perfectly… at least until I too the site out of testing, and took PayPal Pro from Sandbox to Production with the client's details.

Now we just get Error 15008 on every transaction. The shop is now offline and awaiting an explanation.
