Add to cart forces login or guest selection

I am thinking that something just changed when I updated my site's template from my template provider. But, I could be wrong. What seems wrong to me is that when a persons clicks on the Add to Cart button they are then immediately taken to the login, register or be a guest page.

I was thinking that they were able to be a guest and add things to their cart and then have the sign up page be displayed when the hit the proceed to checkout button. Am I understanding the flow properly?

In Hikashop menu: System->Configuration.
On tab "Main", in section "Cart", there is "After a product is added to the cart".
Change it to "Stay and display popup".

I love how easy it is. You have so many features that it can be hard to find them. But, that is a wonderful problem.
