Textarea of customfield in IE has no pulldown

I made a custom field order_vakantie (holiday)
The textarea in Firefox is displayed ok (you can pull down the window to see more text), but in IE this is not possible.

It is in the order proces, so I cannot give a direct URL you can go to. But in a PM I will give you the URL to test.
Please select a product and put it in your basket, then try to buy it, in step 1 where one can login or register their you can see (or not in IE) the fields Vakantieperiode (Holiday) and Opmerkingen (remarks).

You have a css property which is limiting the height of the textarea, so it has the same size as an input.
And Internet Explorer doesn't allow to edit the size of the textarea (no pulldown).

So the customer see that as an input, but can click on the arrows in the textarea to see all the content.
