Address Manager: No States Popup

-- Joomla version -- : 3.3.6
-- PHP version -- : 5.5
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Chrome

I'm building a US-only sales website. We will ship only to the US continental 48 states.

I unpublished all the countries other than the US, and unpublished the states to which I won't ship.

The "Edit an Address" and the "Add an Address" during checkout work fine, but when I try to use the "New Address" from the Address Manager (frontend) the window doesn't show the States pop-up menu unless I publish a second country (and toggle between that country and United States).

Help! What can I do?

Hi,

You should re-save your "country" address custom field to be sure that the default value stored in the database is right "United states".
Then you should check that you're not editing an address where the country is not "USA", otherwise the state dropdown won't be able to load the states for a country which is now unpublished, at this moment you should save once the address in order to change the country and then you will see the state dropdown.
