-- url of the page with the problem -- : www.m2820.com
-- HikaShop version -- : 2.4.0
-- Joomla version -- : 2.5.20
-- PHP version -- : 5.4.40
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : any of them

1. After a customer pays with a credit card, the last, End page is blank and does not tell them if their credit card was processed successfully. How do I do this?

2. Also, on that last page, I would like to thank them for their order. How do I do that?

Hi,

Please give us more precise informations about which payment method you use.
You can give us a screenshot of its settings.

By default there should be a thank you page displayed.

I use the Paypal Advanced payment plugin with the following settings within the Paypal plugin:
Verified status: confirmed
Invalid Status: cancelled
Pending status: created
Type: Iframe
Height: 540
Width: 570
Test_MODE: No
Debug: No
Restrictions is NOT checked

If you go to System > Main tab > Cart & Order, here is the screen shot:

Then, if you go to System > Checkout tab, here is the screen shot:

Then, if you go to System > Display tab, here is the screen shot:

Hi,

Here is a new version of the plugin which will be included in the next version of HikaShop in order to handle properly the return from the payment page. Install it on your website and that should be better.

Thank you for the new PayPal Advanced plug-in. First, which version of HikaShop will include this so I don't include it on minor updates or will the next minor update include it?

Second, it did not work. After I process a credit card, here is the screen I get:

Third, notice, after the transaction is complete, the cart still has the product in it and has a button "Proceed to Checkout" both of which make it look like the payment did not process. Even so, I'm positive it did since I went into paypal and saw that the transaction processed correctly. This is very confusing for the buyer!

Like I said before, I use the Paypal Advanced payment plugin with the following settings within the Paypal plugin:
Verified status: confirmed
Invalid Status: cancelled
Pending status: created
Type: Iframe
Height: 540
Width: 570
Test_MODE: No
Debug: No
Restrictions is NOT checked

Cancel url: www.m2820.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=105
Return url: www.m2820.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=104
(The above two pages are also listed in the PayPal Manager)

Hi,

(sorry for my previous message ; I missed a point in the ticket)

I performed a test and the first part worked fine for me ; problem that I saw after that is I couldn't finish the order and test the return.
Then, I try to just reproduce the notification return and I realized that you should have the HikaShop system plugin "hikashoppayment".

For the moment I will recommend you to unpublish that plugin in order to retrieve the content returned by the "paypal advanced" plugin ; we will fix the plugin for the next release with some more appropriate code for the management of the iframe context.

I do not understand what you said in your last comment.
1. Are you saying I need the "hikashoppayment" plugin, but that will not be available until the next version? Or, is it available now and I need to install it?

2. You asked me to unpublish the "paypaladvanced" plugin you sent me. If I do that, how will I then use the paypal advance payment method. Can you please provide complete instructions for how to uninstall the plugin you sent and reinstall the old "paypaladvanced" plugin?

3. This is very confusing to buyers and I am getting calls about it or some of simply cancelling their sale. When will the next update be available?

4. Last, the plugin looks like it has the necessary feature. It already asks for a "Return url". This appears to be where they will be sent if their payment is successful. Isn't that correct? If so, why isn't that working. They are not being sent anywhere. They just stay on the last page of the checkout process. As you can see in the picture, after payment, they remain on the same page. It's not that the feature needs to be added. It looks like it is not working. Am I correct?

Solution:

I would like you to answer the questions above, but I did find a solution on PayPal website until you guys fix the shopping cart. Here it is in case others need a fix:

1. Sign in to your account on manager.paypal.com
2. Go to "Service Settings" tab at the top, then click on the "Set Up" tab underneath that tab.
3. Scroll down to the "Payment Confirmation" section (see attached image) and set "Show confirmation page" to "On a PayPal hosted page." This will bypass your shopping cart and PayPal will take care of letting the customer know that the transaction has completed successfully.

Hi,

1. The plugin is already there and activated by default if you have the latest version of HikaShop. But there is a bug in it which will be fixed in the next version so for the time being you should deactivate it to fix that issue.

2. We didn't say that you should disable the PayPal advanced plugin. We said that you should disable the HikaShop payment notification plugin.

3. In a few weeks, but it doesn't matter as you don't need to wait for that to disable the plugin.

4. Yes that's correct. It doesn't work because of that new payment notification plugin which has a bug.
