Custom fields in different categories (checkout)

Hi,

I've got this problem: i've created a mandatory checkout custom field limited to only one category of my shop.
The problem is that this mandatory custom field is requested, on the checkout, even if i haven't got any product of the specific category in my cart (the custom field is not visible on the checkout).
