-- url of the page with the problem -- : walttools.com
-- Joomla version -- : 4.2.2
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : mozilla
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : Not a real problem,No eror

Not a real problem, just a suggestion. WE have countless customers mess up the registration process because they click the big green NEXT button instead of the "register" button after filling out the registration page. By doing this, they never get the activate email and this puts them in a stopped state and they call angrily because they are stuck. Is there a way to remove the NEXT button until after the register button is clicked on? Or maybe make the REGISTER button red. Anyone else had this issue and a solution?

Hello,

In your case, using that kind of CSS code will probably do the job :

.hikashop_checkout_page_step1 #hikabtn_checkout_next {
    display: none;
}
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/1...the-display.html#css

Kind regards,
Mohamed.

Hi Mohamed,

we've been struggling for a long time with the same issue as walttools wrote in his first post, but your solution only works if there are no other views in the first step of the checkout and doesn't work for guest checkout, because guest users are still redirected to the first step of the checkout in which case they can never continue because the "Next" button is hidden by your CSS code.

Do you have a more general solution so there won't be two confusing Register/Next buttons, which works for every situation?

Thanks.

EDIT: sorry, we wrote our initial post too quickly without checking, so we changed our text

Hi,

We actually have an option "show submit button" in the "login" view of the "checkout workflow" of the HikaShop configuration so that you can remove the "register" button of the registration form to only have the "next" button.
However, Regardless of that setting, whether you press one or the other, the result is supposed to be the same.

I actually just tested walttools's checkout and when I use the green next button for the registration form, I do get the activation email.
So the problem he has is not with the fact that there are two buttons. It's probably just that the activation email sometimes ends up in the spam folder of his customers and in that case, what he wants to do is to check his emails with www.mail-tester.com/ to see where is the problem with his emails.

Hi,

The same registration process will happen whether the customer clicks on one button or the other.
So I'm not sure why that wouldn't be the case. Normally, if some users don't get the activation email while others do, it's more likely a problem of your emails being flagged as spam by some email clients. A good way to check is to go in the menu Customers>Emails history and check if the emails are there. If they are and some of your clients are saying that they didn't receive it, it's more likely a spam issue and you should first check your emails with www.mail-tester.com/
Could you provide a link to the shop and precise instructions to reproduce the problem so that we can have a look ?
