Adjust countries for orders

Hi!!

I actually only want to sell in a few countries. This has to do with VAT and shipping. For example, I received an order with an address in the Netherlands, but the form indicated a different country to avoid paying VAT; payment was also made.

Now I have created a zone with 3 countries in the order process, but I can't quite figure it out. There are examples on the internet of old Hikashop info that is no longer correct.

How can I ensure that I only receive orders from the countries I want?

I would appreciate your tips.

Hi,

You can go in the menu System>Zones and disable the countries you don't want there. That way, users will only be able to select their address's country in the list of remaining published countries.

Alternatively, you could leave all the countries published, and restrict your shipping methods in System>Shipping methods to only a specific set of countries with the "Zone" restriction setting of the shipping methods. This would allow users to enter their address in any country, but they would be blocked with an error message during the checkout.
