Hello,

Im a very satisfied Hikashop for years, thanks so far!

Maybe you can integrate this "problem" in a future update. Its not crucial, so no rush.

I have a lot of characteristics made in the webshop. But after a while i really can't see which characteristics are unused or if some are double. It would be nice if you could categorize it (or a description), so you know how and why you created something which isnt always obvious after a year or some.
I make some characteristics only for a certain productgroup, so by categorizing i can group them together for a better overview.

Just my 2 cents

Thanks!

Sorry, dont know how, but it turned up in wrong subject, should be in General Talk

Hi,

We actually added years ago the "alias" setting in the characteristics. That parameter only displays in the backend and allow you to separate characteristics with the same name (for example if you have several characteristics named "size").
Wouldn't that help you ?

Hi Nicolas,

Thanks, i didnt know that the Alias wasn't used. So that is a good solution.

Being busy with characteristics, it would be nice to have an extra line of text on the front-end. Or an image.

So when people hover over the characteristics they see that extra text or image.

Thanks again!

Hi,

While there is no setting for that, you can do it already.
you can directly enter a HTML tag in the value / name of your characteristic like that:

<span title="My extra text">My value</span>
and the My extra text will display when you hover on the My value text on the frontend.
