Hello!
I have a task to update the quantity field every XX hours.
I think I did it in the past with csv in a location that hikashop imported somehow and updated the quantities
My csv is like.

product_code;product_quantity;
00-00-0013;78.000
00-00-0014;162.000
00-00-0015;86.000
00-00-0020;269.823
00-00-0030;178.000
00-00-0032;142.000

1. is it ok to have 78.000 as quantity? Will hikashop understand that the number is 78?
2. Can you pls remind me the steps because I didn t finf anything in the forum?

Thanks!

Hi,

1. Yes, that should not be a problem.

2. You want to create a mass action in the menu System>Mass actions.
In it, you want a filter "CSV products" with your file added and the checkbox "Save the products on Mass Action csv import." checked.
Then, click on the "process" button and it should do it.

Hi,

You're missing the / before the "home" at the beginning of your full path.
However, Joomla might not allow you to provide a path outside the Joomla root folder.

Hi,

The products were added on my local website when importing the file that way.
And after this, when I changed the stock of some of the products in that CSV and run the mass action again, the stock was updated.
So to me, it looks like it's working as it should:

You can't see a log. If there is a problem, it should appear directly on the screen as an error message.

Now, if you have a plugin or another mass action which somehow reverts the change during the update, it's possible that nothing happens while not outputting any error, since it's functioning as expected.

Hi,

As I said, I tried both importing new products AND updating them. And both worked. So what I said still stands.
