Hello,

I want to change prices of products in my shop.

So, I export to .CSV file, opened in EXCEL.
Then prices are given in format "Standard" and e.g. like 14.99 (numbers with a DOT).
When I change the price in this CSV-file the format is changed, e.g. "14.99" I want to change in "9.99" but what appears is "346094" ????

How can I solve this problem ?

Thanks for help-

Rolf

Hi,

I'm sorry but I'm not sure I understand the issue you have. Are you saying that your problem is that when you try to change 14.99 to 9.99 in the CSV, Excel changes the value of the cell to 646094 ?
I've never heard about this and I don't know how we could help if the problem is in Excel.
Or maybe I didn't understand what you mean ?

Hi Nicolas,

YES - you did understand right, the correct value is "36404,00".
My desired input "9.99" is changed by EXCEL if default format is set to "Number".

I tried several times Export/Import, but the exported price-format "14.99"
- can not be changed to "9.99" this will result in "Sep 99" , even when I try all formatting styles of Excel
- can only changed to a format with comma , e.g. "9,99" or with two digits BEFORE the point , e.g. "16.99"

I found in other forums that this is a default/preset in Excel to change formats to a date.

For me the result is that I can only make a input in form of "9,99" if I have one digit before decimal-divider and I have to make a
COMMA instead a POINT.

Some other info?

Enjoy Christmas and take your time for response.

Hi,

Note that in the HikaShop configuration, you have a setting "CSV decimal separator" where you can select between dot and comma. So if you need to have commas as separators for decimals for Excel to work properly, you can change it there.
