Hi,

1. If you use AcyMailing to send your newsletters, the best is to just configure their (auto)register plugin to add that checkbox so that it adds the users automatically to the lists you configured in AcyMailing.
Otherwise, you can create a custom field of the table "order" or "user" via the menu Display>Custom fields for that but you wil have to handle the subscriptions of the users manually.

2. You need to enter your URL in the subscription field of the menu Your account>Your subscriptions on our website and then press the "purge cache" button of the joomla updater and you won't have the problem anymore.

Hi,

this is exactly what I need on my checkout too. There has to be a checkbox with the question if the user wants to subscribe the Newsletter or not. If checked it means "yes" if not checked it means "no". But the management has to be automatically, if not it's useless.
Who has the time and is willing to manually fiddle the subscribers day by day into the userlist.

Because all professional shops that I know have this function, I expect it as a standard feature for a shop. So would you implement this function for your users, please? I'm not a developer but I bet that this is just a few lines of code and a half day of work.

Did you do it with the Acymailing custom field? Does it work with the autogenerated code from acymailing or did you add additional code?
I'd like to have it independent from registration because a registered user who unsubscribed in the past has the chance to resubscribe at every checkout.

There is no need to use any software friend. all you have to do is go to display, customs fields and create it there. It is very easy. buy the way, I created this box so that way we can use the emails to advertise. If they say yes, then when they place the order we add them to constant contact and if they say no, then we do not. It is a box just to ask them a question. People nowadays hate to register to shop on line and that is why this shopping cart is great because they do not have to register at all.

Hmm, I don't understand how that will work. If a user checks the box with "yes" a algorithm has to add this user to a newletter (because we use the Acymailing newletter system and no simple e-mail). It has to go automatically because it is to time intensive if you have many users to do it manually. I don't belive that the standard custom field manager of Hikashop has a little wizzard inside who will create the code to add an user to a newsletter.

To get it to work, Hikashop developers have to implement a piece of code in the checkout that will use Acymailings Autosubscribe plugin. The big question is if they will do that in the very next future.

If you want people to register to your website why don't you put something like
register to my site. checkout my website and look at the bottoma. People suscribe and I email them with newsletter or anything I want. This thing that I used on my site is a newsletter joomla component www.cocinemosjuntos.com

Maybe people don't know if they want to have a newsletter when they register. If I have the newsletter question in the checkout, they can decide on every checkout if they want to have the newsletter or not. Or if someone has unsubscribed and want to have the newsletter again, in the checkout they always have the possibillity to subscribe again.

Here in Germany, you are not allowed to automatically subscribe users to a newsletter without their permission by common law. They explictely have to allow you to send them newsletters.
