Filter Not appearing!

Hi,

I have Hikashop Business Edition and I was interested in applying filters such as a search box for the product page.

I did that through display>filters. It is working but the filter button is much lower than the search box. Also the search is only on the individual product pages. I would like it on the main category page to search through all the categories at once. How can I do that?

ALSO, when I went back to edit the filter, I cannot find it in the backend. (I have attached a picture) how can I access the filters again? I do not know why it is no longer there under display.

Thanks!

Hi,

For the button position, there is an option in the configuration to change its position. Otherwise, CSS can also help.

To display filters on other places than products listings, you need to configure the HikaShop filter module via the Joomla modules manager.

If you don't get the Filters menu in the backend, it's either that you reverted to the Starter/Essential edition, or that you blocked yourself from accessing that feature with the "access levels" tab of the HikaShop configuration.

Hi Nicolas,

I looked at the backend access levels and that seems to be fine and normal.
You mentioned I may have reverted to the Basic Hikashop, but the front-end still has the Business version's capabilities (such as the filter and custom fields) so I do not think that is the case. Any idea how to fix this issue?

Hi there,

Could you check what the documentation>update/About page says?
Try to update or simply reinstall your package.

Thank you for your reply. Will reinstalling Hikashop Business or updating change any setting I have now such as the product info & images, language overrides, and checkout?

Hi,

No, reinstalling HikaShop over the current install will not erase the config, product infos, images and overrides.
