-- HikaShop version -- : 2.3.2

Hi,

I wish to remove the login and registration portions ontop of the checkout page.
Instead, the work flow that I would like to achieve is:

User clicks link, if user is not already logged in, he/she sees Joomla's login page. If he/she logs in, they are taken to Checkout page where they can checkout. If not, they can create an account via Joomla's interface.

Please advise how this can be done.

Thanks!

Hi,

So basically, you want a two steps checkout where on the first step there is the login/registration for anonymous users and then the second step with all the rest which users see directly if they are already logged in.
That's easy to do. Just change the "checkout workflow" option of the configuration so that you only have the "login" view on the first step of the checkout workflow and all the other views in the second step on the right of it.

Hi nicolas,

Thanks for the guidance, it was helpful!

What I am seeing now is the login and registration form side by side.

Am I able to change this such that the user only sees the login form, and a link to create account below that, which will lead to the registration form once clicked?

Pls advise

The solution will probably be to set the "Display method for registration" option to "Switcher" and the "registration" option to "registration", then your customers will be able to select if he want to login or register.
Note that the Registration / Display method for registration options are only available through Hikashop commercial versions.

Hi Mohamed Thelji,

Thanks for your reply.
Does this mean that I can't change this layout in the free version?

Please advise!

Hi,

The option Mohamed talked about is only in the commercial editions of HikaShop.
Now if you want to change the code of the view, you can do it yourself even in the free version of HikaShop by editing the file "login" of the view "checkout" via the menu Display>Views.

Hi,

Please open a new thread for your question and provide more details.
I don't know which login screen you're talking about (because this thread is talking about the Joomla login ; so it's Joomla related, not HikaShop related).
So the best is to open a new thread in order to be sure that the context will be the right one.
