-- HikaShop version -- : 2.3.4
-- Joomla version -- : 2.5.27
-- PHP version -- : 5.4.34
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Safari 7.1
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : [01-Dec-2014 19:57:24 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 2006424 bytes) in /home/dragonz/public_html/libraries/joomla/application/component/helper.php on line 381

After upgrading to Hikashop 2.3.4, two product pages that are copies of each other fail to render properly. The content of the product page can be viewed, but it is not contained within a div as it should. This causes the rest of the page elements, including styling not to appear.

An allowed memory size exhausted error is generated. Increasing the memory_limit setting in php.ini from 40M to 256M seems to have made the error go away, but the page load time is still slow for these products when not cached.

Why would there be such an increase in memory requirements when upgrading to 2.3.4?

Hi,

HikaShop might not be the only incriminated component ; as you can see with your error message, the problem come from the Joomla library. So it is difficult to know what happen before.
You might have some modules which require some memory, you might have some image processing (memory depends on the image size), etc.

So, there is no specific memory requirements with HikaShop ; it really depends on what you are loading and what you are processing in your pages.
