-- HikaShop version -- : 2.2.3
-- Joomla version -- : 3.4.0
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : all

When users add items to their cart it takes them to a blank page located at

site.com/index.php/shop/guys/product/updatecart

I'd like the 'add to cart' button to take shoppers to the shopping cart.

How can I accomplish this?

Thank you,
Todd

First, I guess the link you posted is wrong.

Then, you seem to run an "old" HikaShop version under the most current Joomla. You should update HikaShop to the latest version, too - 2.4.0 at the time of this writing - this may well solve your problem.

Hello Todd,
Can you download the last Hikashop version through our website, install it and test it again ?
Thanks.

My subscription has expired so I can not download the updated version.

Can you please offer assistance on my current version or allow me to download the update?

Thank you,
Todd

Your subscription having expired means that the period for free updates is over, indeed.

But as already stated, while you had updated to a brand-new Joomla (where much has changed), you're still on a meanwhile fairly "old" HikaShop. Note that due to the changes in Joomla 3.4 even HikaShop 2.3.5 users had several issues. Update/support period over or not, it is - mildly put - infeasible to attempt ironing out all incompatibilities manually, especially since it's Joomla sort of "causing" them.

Leaves only very few options for you:
1. Renew your HikaShop subscription and update (strongly recommended as you'll get a ton of new features, too).
2. Downgrade to a previous Joomla version, best by restoring your last backup before updating Joomla (assuming that you have a very recent backup, though not the best solution in the long run - for obvious reasons).
3. Downgrade to the free HikaShop Starter version (but be aware that you'll lose all features of the commercial versions - so, probably not recommendable, either).

lousyfool,

Thanks for your advice. I'm really looking for something fairly simple for anyone that is familiar with the product.

As you can tell, I am not. There has to be a fairly simple way to set a url for the "add to cart" button or redirect to a set url.

Can someone please assist with this?

Thanks for your help everyone!

Hi,

You can click on the renew link in the menu "My account > My subscriptions" in order to renew it and you'll be able to download the update again.
Please note that there are several issues introduced by Joomla 3.4 and that will require the update to the latest version anyway if you want to fix them.
It will be even more pressing as time goes by if you keep updating Joomla and not HikaShop.

Regarding the issue at hand, turn on the error reporting and debug mode of the Joomla configuration.
That should then display an error message on the blank page which will help us/you understand what is the problem.
