Hi

The Hikashop´s "content module" displays all products, thats a problem because my main page is going to get hudge if i add like 2000 products, even the finished ones are displayed, but i have tested Virtuemart wich displays products into a module as selection: active, feature, finished... so u can easy decide if a module u created is going to show whatever u decide for a decired page.

How can we use hikashop´s module to automaticaly only display "active products" in a selected page (and show the newest first), into another page "finished products" (wich are no longer available), into another page "feature products", etc? just to keep order on a site and have more control over product displayed on every page.

Thanks

Hi,

It's the same with HikaShop. Go in the menu Display>Content modules and edit your products listing module.
There, you can configure how many products you want to display in the module, if you want to display products from only a specific category, the ordering, etc etc.

Hi, thats not what i mean, what i ask is if we can have at the same time in several pages "hikashop module" to display diferent products: finished products, active, feature

If u configure hikashop module from hikashop panel and u put that module in several pages, all pages will show the same product, doesnt matter if u can select in the control panel a certain product type, this is a global configuration for the module; insted with virtuemart you can configure directly in the module the kind of products you want to display, that is very easy to work because u can show in the main page the active products and create another page called finisehd products, were customers can see products that are not longer available, simply by creating a module several times and configure it to display diferent types of products.

I would like to create a hikashop module for everypage, that displays different type of products at the same time, what if i want to show in 1 page "vehicle parts" and into another page "cloths", and in another page "most sold products", and in another page "finished products", thats easy with virtuemart module, but i want to use: hikashop :)

thanks

Hi,

That's easy to do with HikaShop too.
I believe my previous message explained that.

For example, to display the most sold products, you can configure a HikaShop content module with the "ordering column" setting set to "product_sales" and the "ordering direction" setting set to "DESC". That module can be configured to display on one page, or several pages based on the "menu assignment" setting of the module.
In fact, it's even easier than that for a "most sold products" module as there is already one configured by default by HikaShop. It is called "best sellers" and you just have to activate it and configure where you want to display it via the Joomla modules manager.

It's the same if you want to display a module of products of a specific category thanks to the "associated category" setting of the modules, etc. It's just a matter of setting up the modules the way you want them to be, as I explained in my previous message.

I finally got it

It was hard......... because my hikashop module doesnt have any options rather than a CSS space, so i got tired of searching for that "ordering colum" or "product_sales" but finally found out that it has a tag to cpanel called "hikashop options" wich is in the module main menu, so i clicked it and go to a most specific menu just for that module, and understood i can create multiple modules with different content and many options,

Thanks a lot!!!! :cheer:
