-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : Error 1054 - Unknown column 'id' in 'field list'

Hi Nicolas,
A few days ago I told you about the error I was getting when trying to view the shopping carts. I installed the patch you recommended, but I can see that since then the reminder plugin has not been running correctly.
Error 1054 - Unknown column 'id' in 'field list'.
I’m attaching a screenshot.

Hi,

Can you try again to reproduce the issue with the "debug" setting of the Joomla configuration page turned on and provide the full error message you'll get doing so ?

Hi,

Thanks. I've made a patch which should help.
Download again the install package of HikaShop and install it on yours to get the patch. You should not have the error anymore.

Hi Nicolas.
I have reinstalled HikaShop and the cron is now working. However, I’ve noticed that it sends the same message twice to each user, both for product availability notifications and for cart reminder emails.

I’m not sure if this could be because, when the cron was executed later, the emails had already been generated at the time and are now being sent again when the cron runs.

Hi,

We have implemented a fix in the latest build regarding the double notification issue. Please update your HikaShop to the latest version and let us know if it solves the problem for you.

Could you also verify in the menu Customers > Emails history if you see the emails generated twice there?
If the issue persists after the update, we would need a backend and FTP access to your website to check on the situation directly.

Hi Nicolas.
With the new version, the reminder plugin is not being executed.
I installed it early this morning.
I created a shopping cart with a test user and, when running the cron, no reminder email is sent.

Hi,

We've made another fix to address the issue with the reminder plugin not executing. I think the problem is related to how plugin parameters were being serialized before saving to the database.

Please update HikaShop again and test:
- Create a test cart with a user that has an email address
- Make sure the cart has been modified at least as long ago as your configured "waiting period" in the reminder plugin settings
- Run the cron manually
- Check the Customers > Emails history to see if reminder emails are generated
If it still doesn't work, we would need backend and FTP access to debug further on your site.

Hi Nicolas.
I’m writing to you again because something very strange is happening.
The other day I wrote to let you know that the Reminder plugin was working correctly.
However, after noticing that it was not being executed, I checked and saw that the plugin seems to have been “removed” from my system (as if it had uninstalled itself).
Please let me know what you need in order to be able to review this.

Hi,

There is no uninstall mechanism. The only way to uninstall it is to do it manually as far as I know.
I would recommend double checking the extension manager. Then, reinstall it, reconfigure it, and check that it still works.
Also, you can configure the actions log in Joomla:
docs.joomla.org/J4.x:User_Actions_Log
That way, if it happens again, you should get some log of how it got uninstalled which would help understand how it happened.

Hi Nicolas.
I have reinstalled the Reminder plugin again.
I ran the cron, it worked correctly, but the plugin has disappeared from the system again.
I’m attaching a screenshot of the user actions log where you can see that the plugin was installed, but there is no record of its uninstallation.

Nicolas, I reinstalled it again, and the moment the cron URL is executed, the plugin disappears.

Hi Nicolas,

I’ve isolated the issue and it is reproducible on my site with the latest stable Joomla + HikaShop.

Problem: when the HikaShop – Reminder plugin is enabled, running the HikaShop cron URL causes the plugin to disappear from Joomla (it is no longer listed under Extensions → Plugins). The plugin files are still present on the FTP, but Joomla loses the plugin registration (it can be reinstalled again via Extensions → Manage → Discover).

Cron URL used:
/index.php?option=com_hikashop&ctrl=cron

Steps to reproduce

Install the Reminder plugin (if needed via Discover).

Enable (publish) HikaShop – Reminder.

Run the cron URL above.

Go to Extensions → Plugins → the Reminder plugin is gone.

Important note

If the Reminder plugin is disabled (unpublished), running the same cron URL does not make it disappear.

So the “removal” only happens when the Reminder plugin is enabled and the cron is executed.

Could you advise what could trigger Joomla to lose the extension entry for the plugin during cron execution, or if there is a known issue/fix for this?

Thank you.

Hi,

Thanks for all the feedback on this. I've made another patch which should prevent this issue.
Please download again the latest version install package and install it on your website. That will add the patch.
Let us know how it goes. I expect it will work fine now based on tests on my end.

Hi Nicolas,

I’ve tested the latest package and I can confirm that the cron no longer removes the Reminder plugin from Joomla — so that issue appears to be fully resolved. Thank you for that fix.

During this incident, I noticed that running the cron was also affecting other HikaShop plugins, which would then reappear under Extensions → Manage → Discover. Specifically:

HikaShop Google / Meta Products Feed

HikaShop Orders Automatic Cancel

HikaShop WaitList Notification

While we were debugging, I temporarily disabled these plugins to avoid further issues.

Could you please confirm:

Whether these plugins should now be safe to re-enable with your latest patch?

If so, whether you recommend any specific configuration for them to ensure they work correctly with the Reminder plugin and the cron?

Thank you again for your help.

Hi,

Yes. You can reenable them. There is nothing specific. You just have to reconfigure them.
The problem was the previous patch in the core of HikaShop which was incomplete. With the new patch, you have nothing specific to do with these plugins.
